We were a little worried at first.
Would people still remember us after a 2 year break?
Seriously, there is nothing more heart-warming than the resounding “Yes” we received.
10,000 of you early birds rushed to sign up on the 1st weekend we opened registration.
Friends, parents with their children, siblings, couples.
We’ve been pulling many late nights for this, and we’re really touched by your response.
Thanks to everyone who spoke to us at the registration booths, and shared your Big Walk stories.
Look forward to seeing you again on Sunday 2 November!

It’s 1.51am on the 27th, but better late than never!
Today’s shout-out goes out to Nur.
She wrote to us at tnpbigwalk@sph.com.sg , saying her family would love to sign up, but they would be overseas.
Could her friend sign up for them? And what would they do about the registration forms?
That’s when we decided to upload the registration forms on our website next week, instead of having them available only at the registration booths.
That, of course, would cut down queuing time at the booths when they open on 4 Oct, and allow friends and family to sign up for each other.
It’s when we try to think of solutions for you, that we sometimes come up with ideas that are good for everyone.
So thank you Nur!
Look out for her e-mail and our reply, plus others, in the Your Say section tomorrow.
In the meantime, keep your questions and comments coming!
Cheers, and until tomorrow…

What to know what happens behind the scenes in organising such a massive event?
We’ll let you in on all the action!
Starting tomorrow (26 September), The Big Walk on Water team will post daily updates on the progress of The Big Walk.
Get the scoop with latest updates and pictures, plus funny anecdotes and the technical difficulties we face to bring this mass event to you, our readers.
We’ve been asked: Why WordPress?
Well, we figured it would be fun to start a Big Walk Blog.
It’s also an easy way for all the organizing folks to contribute from wherever they are! Since we’re running around most of the day to bring this event to you…
So stay tuned!
